Inktober is for drawing paper dolls

Hello! The month of October is at the door and with it comes the now famous Inktober.

Inktober was created in 2009 by Jake Parker and who proposes to make an ink drawing per day during a month and post online on any social media with the #inktober or # inktober2018 hashtag. Jake's intention was to create a kind of daily routine and develop the drawing technique. In his site you can have some tutorials. This challenge won thousands of followers around the world
achieving great popularity!

I have been following for some time Miss Missy paper dolls blog which is, in my opinion, one of the best blogs on the topic and such an inspiration. Miss Missy's blogger who collects paper dolls  and also designs her own paper dolls
since her childhood has been in regular business since 2012 sharing paper dolls.
The blog won the Top 100 doll blogs and websites for doll makers & enthusiasts. Congratulations Miss Missy! :D

In one of her last posts Miss Missy proposed a challenge for Inktober.

Do clothes really make the man?

Desert Peach # 9 by Donna Barr
I was wandering through the pages of comic books when I saw this amazing paper doll (I'll search until I find this paper doll book). This is a character from the pages of comic strip stories. The comic book announced is Desert Peach #9: Scourge Of Love with drawings and script by Donna Barr and the paper doll is drawn by Barb(ara) Rausch. It seems to me that there will be other issues with paper dolls.

The character is Manfred Pfirsich (german word for  peach) Marie Rommell and he is the "fictitious younger brother of the legendary Desert Fox Erwin Rommel, as well as his companion Udo, and gives us a spy on his wacky adventures in the northern plains Africa during World War II" in https://comicvine.gamespot.com/desert-peach-1/4000-30200/

If you are curious read more information about it here!

It seems to me that Barb Rausch draws other paper dolls, if you search on Google, you will find more of it.

Everyone has his taste

I do not like making ephemeris but I do not become indifferent to the departure of yet another star that has achieved immortality. I'm talking about Burt (Leon) Reynolds (1936-2018) one of the sexiest actors (everyone has his taste!) of the big screen, desired by thousands and envied by so many others.I admire Burt Reynolds, like so many other movie stars, and I will keep forever in my memories the image of the first man who posed naked for a feminine magazine Cosmopolitan' s centrefold in April of 1972 (although he regrets having done it and i don't understand why ?!).

Burt Reynolds in Cosmopolitan (April, 1972)

He was also a football player and recorded an album entitled Ask me what I am

Made hundreds of movies. For a while he was one of the highest paid Hollywood actors.
He declined the role of James Bond. He won two Golden Globes and, as never before, was nominated for Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in Boogie Nights (1997) when he played the role of Jack Horner as a porn director ...Reynolds was to be cast as Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). :,(To remind him I share here two paper dolls that circulate on the web. One I found in Pinterest, by Diana Clark with black and white outline and four iconic outfits from Burt Reynolds' film career.

The other one that I really think is perfect two-in-one, I do not remember where I first saw it, it's from Mr. Tom Tierney's hand, (only could!). It is identified as private stock of the artist and the character's name is  Sam Hanks. He is a movie star look-alike  and has very good resemblance with Burt Reynolds. It captures the sexy smile and masculine moustache on the body of ex-former football player (he's missing that tan) and has just one outfit and cowboy hat! I wish there was an officially published paper doll ...

Is there ever going to be an art book by Mr. Tom Tierney with all this stuff? I wish. :)

Quem me dera :)
