I always liked to see movie stars photos from the golden era or from the silver screen era like Marlene Dietrich, Jean Harlow, Hedy Lamar, Mae West and other vamps. Of course I noticed male stars like Gary Cooper, Marlon Brando, Rock Hudson and so many others who become models to  my own creations.

So Cary Grant is a special case. Because he is so classy, sophisticated and fun at same time. He is definitely the male model in my modest opinion... When an interviewer once told him, "Everyone would like to be Cary Grant," he replied, "I'd like to be Cary Grant, too."

And to full fill my imagination and fantasies, like some of many others who admired him, there is the photo session with Randolph Scott.

I was searching on the web for paper dolls and once again I found amazing art works from so different artists and periods. Trying to make a homage to one of my favourite movie stars I'm sharing here some paper dolls we can find on the web.

   Sempre gostei de ver fotos de estrelas de cinema, da golden era  ou da era silver screen, como Marlene Dietrich, Jean Harlow, Hedy Lamar, Mae West e outras vamps. Claro que reparava nas estrelas masculinas como Gary Cooper, Marlon Brando, Rock Hudson e tantos outros que se tornaram modelos para minhas criações.

Portanto, Cary Grant é um caso especial. Porque ele é tão elegante, sofisticado e divertido ao mesmo tempo. Ele é definitivamente o modelo masculino na minha modesta opinião...Quando um entrevistador certa vez lhe disse: "Todo mundo gostaria de ser Cary Grant", ele respondeu: "Eu também gostaria de ser Cary Grant".

E para preencher a minha imaginação e fantasias, como as de tantos outros que o admiravam, há a sessão de fotos com Randolph Scott.

Estava pesquisando na web e mais uma vez encontrei obras de arte incríveis de artistas e épocas tão diferentes. Tentando fazer uma homenagem a uma das minhas estrelas de cinema favoritas, estou compartilhando aqui algumas que podemos encontrar na web. até à próxima!

My favorite paper doll theme is movie stars and celebrities.

I was browsing the internet looking for news on paper dolls when I found these that I share here. These are rarities that are the delight of any collector and unfortunately they are no longer available.

They are three world-famous body builders whose careers went through acting in movies and both were immortalized by the roles they played. Each doll has different clothes from the movies in which they acted.

 O meu tema preferido em paper doll são as estrelas de cinema e as celebridades. Eu estava navegando pela internet à procura de  novidades em paper dolls quando encontrei estas que aqui partilho. São raridades que fazem as delicias de qualquer colecionador e infelizmente já não estão à venda.

São três body builders mundialmente famosos e cuja carreira passou pela representação no cinema e ambos ficaram imortalizados pelos papéis que desempenharam. Espero que gostem. Eu amei!

All the world's waiting for you, and the power you possess

 

This post comes a little late. I couldn't fail to make reference to Lynda Carter, who turned her birthday on July 24th, because she played my favourite superhero, Wonder Woman in the TV series and which in my country was translated as Superwoman. I spun on my heels imagining the transformation I saw in every episode... I made silver bracelets with stars to have super powers and I never tired of jumping and jumping off the walls, wondering how I could jump over the buildings in pursuit of the bad guys.

 I cut out every magazine and newspaper that had a picture of Lynda Carter in Wonder Woman clothes. I've drawn Wonder Woman over and over again. I also had my Wonder Woman paper doll designed by me on cereal box cardboard. It didn't resist the passage of time... But I have another one more recent drawn by me.When I took a look at the web, I found some paper dolls, which unfortunately I don't have in my collection, but which I would like to share with you here.

 Este post vem um pouco atrasado. Eu não podia deixar de fazer referência a Lynda Carter, que fez anos no passado dia 24 de julho, porque interpretou a minha super heroína preferida, a Wonder Woman na serie de televisão e que no meu país se traduziu por Super-mulher. Eu rodopiava nos calcanhares imaginado a transformação que via em todos os episódios... eu fazia braceletes prateadas com estrelas para ter super poderes e não me cansava de dar pulos e saltos de cima dos muros, imaginando como poderia saltar por cima dos prédios em perseguição dos bandidos. Eu recortava todas as revistas e jornais que tivessem uma imagem da Lynda Carter em roupas de Wonder Woman. Eu desenhei vezes sem conta a Wonder Woman. Também tive a minha paper doll da Wonder Woman desenhada por mim em cartão das caixas de cereais. Não resistiu à passagem do tempo... Ao dar uma vista de olhos na web fui encontrando algumas paper doll, que infelizmente não tenho na minha coleção, mas que gostaria de partilhar aqui convosco.
