For “la
oligarquia”(the oligarchy) she was called Eva Duarte de Péron, La
señora, and Evita for the “descamisados”(the shirtless). The
name Evita, which was a diminutive, grew and became huge in the heart
of the people.
She was a very contested figure, but it
must be recognized that in just five years she did a remarkable job
of social service for the most needed. She built hospitals, schools, shelters, social neighbourhoods... She travelled through Argentina,
from north to south, to bring comfort to the people.
After she
came to Europe on the Rainbow tour, which passed through Portugal, to
see what was done here with social aid and not to repeat the same
mistakes that were made here. "What beautiful palaces they
have, they could make good hospitals" she said.
She addressed to women in Spain with the following words: “our century will not go
down in history with the name of the 'century of world wars' nor with
the name of the' century of atomic disintegration ', but with another
name much more significant as 'century of victorious feminism '.
In
September 1947, with the law that approved the female vote, she
addressed to Argentine women: “Here it is, my sisters, summarized
in the tight handwriting of a few articles, a long history of
struggles, obstacles and hopes”.

vieja mal vestida. Ellos sueñan conmigo y yo no puedo
decepcionarlos”(The poor like to see me
well dressed. They don't want a poorly dressed old woman to protect
them. They dream of me and I cannot disappoint them)- Evita
After
the Rainbow tour, Evita returned to Argentina, more sophisticated and
in an urgent hurry to do her social work. Evita now wore
Balmain, Rochas, Jacques Fath, Balenciaga and Dior who said "the
only queen I wore was Eva Peron". She left behind his huge hats,
hairpieces and adopted a simple hairstyle that would become his
reference image.
Evita was born on May 7 of 1919 and
she is still alive in the heart of thousands:
"Volveré y seré
millones" (I will return and I will be a million)
As
a tribute to this woman, I would like to share here two paper dolls of
Evita.
One that illustrates Evita with ten outfits, hats,
accessories, wigs and it is signed by several artists such as
Christine D. Scarlett, Frey, Sandra Vanderpool.
The other has no
reference to the artist's name, but for that reason I didn't want to
stop sharing it here.

Para “la
oligarquia” chamava-se Eva Duarte de Peron, La señora, e Evita
para os descamisados. O nome que era um diminutivo crescia e
tornava-se enorme no coração do povo.
Foi uma figura muito
contestada mas há que reconhecer que em apenas cinco anos fez uma
obra notável de serviço social em prol dos mais necessitados.
Percorreu a Argentina de norte a sul para levar conforto ao povo.
Veio à Europa na
Rainbow tour, que passou por Portugal, para ver o que por cá
se fazia com a ajuda social e para não repetir os mesmos erros que
cá se cometiam.
“Que belos
palácios que eles têm, davam para fazer bons hospitais” disse
ela.
Em Espanha
dirigiu-se assim às mulheres: “o nosso século não
passará à história com o nome do ‘século das
guerras mundiais’ nem com o nome do ‘século da
desintegração atómica’ mas sim com outro nome muito
mais significativo o do ‘século do feminismo
vitorioso’.
Em setembro de 1947
com a lei que aprovava o voto feminino dirige-se às mulheres
argentinas: “Aqui está, minhas irmãs, resumida na letra apertada
de poucos artigos, uma história longa de lutas, tropeços e
esperanças”.

Evita vestia agora
Balmain, Rochas, Jacques Fath, Balenciaga e Dior que disse “a única
rainha que vesti foi Eva Peron”. Deixava para trás os chapéus
enormes, os postiços e adoptava um penteado simples mas que se
tornaria a sua imagem de referência.
Depois da Rainbow
tour Evita regressou outra à Argentina, mais sofisticada e com
uma pressa urgente de fazer a sua obra social.
Evita nasceu a 7 de
maio de 1919 e continua viva no coração de milhares: "Volveré
y seré millones" “I will return and I will be a
million.”
Como apontamento
desta efeméride partilho aqui duas paper doll de Evita. Uma que
ilustra Evita com dez outfits, chapéus, acessórios, perucas e que
está assinada por vários artistas como Christine D. Scarlett, Frey,
Sandra Vanderpool. A outra não tenho referência do nome do artista
mas não queria por essa razão deixar de partilhá-la aqui.Até à próxima!
