Guido Crepax (15 July 1933 - 31 July 2003, Italy) is a bigger name of fummetti or better saying European comics or better still world comics.
His work is well known, with an endless list of titles filled with literary, political and philosophical references.
However, what remains in our minds is the graphic representation of his female characters, in a thin, delicate and rich in detail, living in dreamlike and erotic environments, where he unreservedly exposes their sexuality to the eyes of the reader.
His most famous character will undoubtedly be the photographer Valentina (Rosselli)! With a haircut reminiscent of Louise Brooks, she has lived for thirty-five years her adventures whose situations become increasingly compromising in surreal environments of espionage, fantasy and science fiction. Valentina will be perhaps the only cartoon character to age over the years, side by side with her creator, as her stories were published.
Crepax has been and continues to be an inspiration to many renowned artists and intellectuals as well as legions of readers around the world.
As it could not be otherwise, I share a magnificent paper doll by Guido Crepax inspired by his characters and the atmosphere of his stories.

é um nome maior do fummetti ou melhor dizendo da banda desenhada europeia ou melhor dizendo banda desenhada mundial. O seu trabalho é sobejamente conhecido, com uma lista interminável de títulos repleta de referencias literárias, políticas e filosóficas. No entanto o que nos fica na mente é a representação gráfica dos seus personagens femininos, num traço fino, delicado e rico em detalhes em ambientes oníricos e eróticos, onde expõe sem reservas a sua sexualidade aos olhos do leitor. O seu personagem mais famoso será sem duvida a fotografa/repórter Valentina(Rosselli)! Com um corte de cabelo fazendo lembrar Louise Brooks, vai vivendo ao longo de trinta e cinco anos as suas aventuras cujas situações se tornam cada vez mais comprometedoras em ambientes surreais de espionagem, fantasia e
ficção científica. Valentina será talvez a única personagem de banda desenhada a envelhecer ao longo dos anos,ladoa a lado com o seu criador, consoante as suas histórias iam sendo publicadas. Crepax foi e continua a ser uma inspiração para muitos artistas e intelectuais de renome bem como para legiões de leitores ao redor do mundo.
