Moving on

 A lot has happened in the time I've been "away," but my passion for paper dolls remains intact. Even with the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I want to continue contributing to the growth of this universe and keeping you all close. I want to thank everyone who visits this blog and who, since 2008, have helped me keep this very special space alive. All of you from United States; Hong Kong; Singapore; Brazil; Germany; Spain; United Kingdom; India; Russia; Mexico; Vietnam; Malaysia; France; Poland; Denmark; Argentina; Saudi Arabia; Peru; Canada... and other places that the statistics chart doesn't show me. 

I will continue sharing my own paper dolls, here, on Pinterest and Instagram, but I will also continue looking for new artists and paper dolls that haven't been replicated on so many other blogs dedicated to the same theme. The idea is to keep this blog always fresh, curious, and inspiring. Whenever I find something interesting, I promise to bring it here. And, to brighten your day, here's a paper doll that brings together everything I've always hoped for—or wished for—in a paper doll. 

Unfortunately, I couldn't save the artist's name. I searched the internet, but I didn't find any reference. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it if you could leave that information in the comments.

Today we are sharing Mr. Texas latest paper doll by Lance Rayburn published in TWT: this week in texas throughout 1986 as a paper doll calendar.

Mike Horn (1959- ????) won Mr. Austin, Mr. Capital City and Mr. Texas '85 while fighting for human rights. His hobbies included "cinema, camping and hiking” because for him health, well-being and happiness are more important than money.

 Hoje partilhamos a última paper doll da série Mr. Texas de Lance Rayburn publicado na TWT: This Week in Texas magazine ao longo de 1986 como um calendário de bonecos de papel. Mike Horn (1959- ????) venceu o Mr. Austin, o Mr. Capital City e o Mr. Texas '85 ao mesmo tempo que lutava pelos direitos humanos. The next paper doll we share with you is the winner of Mr. Texas is Curt Milstead (1963-1995). He graduated and later became a dental assistant after joining the United States Air Force in 1982 and was also a part-time fitness instructor.  

Curt has an interesting story...a witch hunt of sorts that tested his integrity as a human being and cost him his dream of a career in the Air Force.  

In the same year he won the title of Mr. Texas '84, Curt was discharged from the United States Air Force on suspicion of being gay. The proof that he was gay, which US Air Force investigators found in his room, was the trophy he won at Mr.Texas... then, under threats, he was forced to admit his sexual orientation as homosexual.

O próximo vencedor do prémio Mr. Texas é Curt Milstead (1963-1995). Formou-se e mais tarde tornou-se assistente de dentista após ingressar na Força Aérea dos Estados Unidos em 1982 e foi também instrutor de fitness em part-time. Curt tem uma história interessante... uma espécie de caça às bruxas que testou a sua integridade enquanto ser humano e que lhe custou o sonho de uma carreira na Força Aérea. No mesmo ano em que conquistou o título de Mr. Texas '84, Curt foi dispensado da Força Aérea dos Estados Unidos por suspeita de ser gay. A prova de que era gay, que os investigadores da Força Aérea dos EUA encontraram no seu quarto, foi o troféu que ganhou no Mr.Texas... depois, sob ameaças, foi obrigado a admitir a sua orientação sexual como homossexual. Colt Thomas by Bisonnes in Advocate MEN magazine, june 1984

Colt Tomas (1959-1992) was a biology student who later entered the University of Texas School of Medicine. He won Mr.Houston/82, Mr. Texas/83 and the Fifthy International Mr.Leather/83. He posed as a photographic model and was on the cover of several magazines. With the visibility he gained through the competitions, he continued to participate in various fundraising events. After graduating in medicine, he abandoned his medical career, going on to work in the film industry and then as a tourism director at an exclusive travel agency. He liked dancing, disco and also romantic love songs.

Colt Tomas(1959-1992) foi estudante de biologia e ingressou na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Texas. Venceu os concursos Mr.Houston/82, Mr. Texas/83 e International Mr.Leather/83. Posou como modelo fotográfico e foi capa de várias revistas. Com a visibilidade que foi ganhando através dos concursos continuou a participar em diversos eventos de angariação de fundos. Depois de se formar em medicina, abandonou a carreira médica, passando a trabalhar na indústria cinematográfica e, mais tarde, como diretor de turismo numa agência de viagens exclusiva.Gostava de dançar, de música disco e também de canções românticas de amor. This week we present David Prejean (1957-2006) graduated in 1975 from Acadiana High School.

He posed for several magazine and advertisements, including Playgirl October/1979.

He won Mr. Houston 80 and Mr. Texas 82.

Later he became the owner of several antiques and collectibles businesses.

We present below Mr Texas81: Jay Gondik (1959 -2020). There's not much to say about him. The only thing I've read about him is that he won Mr. Round up before beating Mr. Texas first place in 1981.

Ted Fees was a graphic designer and fitness instructor. He gained fame as a bodybuilder being the winner MR. Texas 1980. It seems his sport was mountain climbing and he liked to travel. As TWT magazine (January 1980) quoted: 

"How you organize your evenings, only your fantasy knows for sure!"

Ted Fees era designer gráfico e instrutor de fitness. Ganhou fama como bodybuilder sendo o vencedor MR. Texas 1980 . Parece que tinha como desporto escalar montanhas e gostava de viajar. Rick Price (1951-2014) was a multifaceted man in several areas throughout his life. A perfect example of mens sana in corpore sano. He started out as Mr. Numbers becoming Mr. Texas in 1979.

 In addition to his dealings in the beauty pageant world, Mr.Price was a brilliant academic, earning degrees in psychology from Indiana and Houston universities, where he completed his doctorate in Psychology in 1987. His career as a school psychologist exemplified his commitment to the well-being be.
 

Besides being a religious man, Mr. Price had a passion for physical and cultural activities. He enjoyed dancing, cycling, hiking, and participating in outdoor adventures. Additionally, he also performed as a DJ in clubs and appeared in advertisements in the pages of TWT magazine.

Rick Price was a brilliant and talented person whose legacy extends beyond his professional achievements to a life rich in diverse experiences and interests.

Para além do no mundo dos concursos de beleza, Price foi um académico brilhante, tendo-se licenciado em psicologia nas universidades de Indiana e Houston, onde concluiu o seu doutoramento em psicologia em 1987. A sua carreira como psicólogo escolar exemplificou o seu compromisso com bem-estar. Para além de ser um homem religioso Price tinha uma paixão por atividades físicas e culturais. Gostava de dançar, andar de bicicleta, fazer caminhadas e participar em aventuras ao ar livre. Além disso, também se apresentou como DJ em clubes e apareceu em anúncios nas páginas da revista TWT. Rick Price foi uma pessoa brilhante e talentosa cujo legado se estende para além das suas realizações profissionais, tendo uma vida rica em experiências e interesses diversos.
