Hello, here I am sharing some more results I drew for the challenge # 100daysofpaperdolls (in 2019). It seems to me that I should not leave them in the drawer ... 

The theme of outfits is casual and has four different hairstyles. Make your own combinations.

O tema dos outfits é casual e tem quatro penteados diferentes.

Going forward is the way

First of all I want to wish you a happy new year of 2020, with great health and whatever comes will be profit!

After so many months of absence due to unexpected events and changes that have affected my personal and professional life (The show must go on ...) I will now try to get on track again and continue to share my passion for paper dolls with you, updating with new content this blog that I created with great dedication. In order to catch the thread I will put here some results that were part of the challenge #100daysofpaperdolls in 2019 (which I didn't get to finish :,( ). 

These would be the results for the ballet theme reproducing a creation of custom designer Lez Brotherston for Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake and a Leon Bakst creation for l'apres-midi d'un faune played by Vaslav Nijinsky in the Ballets Russes

Following the theme of dance and ballet and because a classical ballet performance isn't complete without a tutu and a pair of ballet pointe shoes here I leave you the Nutcracker outfits!

Prá frente é que se faz caminho Antes demais quero desejar-vos um feliz ano novo de 2020, com muita saúde e o que vier a mais será lucro!
Depois de tantos meses de ausência devido a acontecimentos inesperados e mudanças que afetaram a minha vida pessoal e profissional (The show must go on...) vou agora tentar entrar nos trilhos novamente e continuar a partilhar a minha paixão por paper dolls com vocês, atualizando com novos conteúdos  este blog que criei com muita dedicação.
Para conseguir apanhar o fio à meada vou colocar aqui alguns resultados que fizeram parte do desafio #100daysofpaperdolls em 2019 (e que não cheguei a terminar).
Estes seriam os resultados para o tema ballet reproduzindo uma criação do costume designer Lez Brotherston para o Lago dos cisnes de Matthew Bourne e uma criação de Leon Bakst para l'apres-midi d'un faune interpretado por Vaslav Nijinsky nos Ballets Russes. 
Seguindo o tema da dança e do ballet e porque o ballet  classico não está completo sem um tutu e um par de ballet pointe shoes aqui vos deixo os outfits para o Quebra nozes!

Chic wild West and more outfits

As I told you, I'll go weekly posting the "daily" results ( not daily because I can not do this every day) of the #100daysofpaperdolls challenge. This week I was inspired by the chic wild west with two shirts, two hats, a pair of tight jeans and a pair of Texas boots (I love Texans). And because the westerns are not made without Indians a complete outfit to match...and another Zorro outfit to remember the movies of my youth.

  Como eu vos disse, irei semanalmente postando os resultados "diários" do #100daysofpaperdolls desafio (sim, porque eu não posso fazer isso todos os dias) . Esta semana foi inspirada no oeste chic com duas camisas, dois chapéus, um par de jeans e um par de botas Texanas (eu adoro texanas). E porque o oeste não é feito sem índios um outfit completo para combinar. E outra roupa de Zorro para recordar os filmes da minha juventude. Até à próxima!

Drawing for the challenge #100daysofpaperdolls will keep me busy with this blog in the next (100) days. As I said before, I will post here the weekly result of the challenge. So here are the outfits of the last days: a kilt, a pair of jeans, a beret, a shirt, a pair of vintage engineer boots and a (false) leather jacket to create a Marlon Brando look ... and an outfit of Easter bunny to celebrate the season.

Desenhar para o desafio #100daysofpaperdolls manterme-á ocupado com este blog nos próximos (100) dias. Como eu disse antes, vou postar aqui o resultado semanal do desafio. The #100 days of Paper dolls challenge

I joined a new challenge to draw paper dolls for 100 days. The challenge came up on Instagram it's called # 100daysofpaperdolls and started on April 2nd and is an idea posted by http://paperthinpersonas.com

  

The main idea of this challenge is to design one outfit a day, an accessory, a pair of shoes or anything. I'm also going to share the result of this challenge on Instagram in @out_of_the_closet_paper_dolls (daily, I hope!) and as I get it done I will also share the result here weekly. For now I leave here the paper doll base and the first outfits.

A paper doll to have fun! (1/3)

As I promised at the end of the Inktober challenge last year, I decided to fix some outfits and scan them and put them all together.

I will put them in different posts because I need some time to make some adjustments.

I used as a base a paper doll that I had drawn some time ago and called her Andromeda. She was a robot that would travel through the various periods of fashion history in which she wore an outfit appropriate to each period Here she will dress according different themes: lingerie, swuimsuit, casual, school uniform, formal, pyjama, cosplay, animal hobby, food and work.

Como prometi no final do desafio Inktober no ano passado, decidi consertar algumas roupas e digitalizá-las e colocá-las aqui todas juntas. Vou colocá-los em posts diferentes porque preciso de algum tempo para fazer alguns ajustes. 

Eu usei como base uma boneca de papel que eu havia desenhado há algum tempo e dei-lhe o nome Andrômeda. Ela era um robô que viajava pelos vários períodos da história da moda em que usava uma roupa apropriada para cada período. 

Aqui ela se vestirá de acordo com diferentes temas: lingerie, fato de banho, casual, uniforme escolar, formal, pijama, cosplay, hobby,  animal, comida e trabalho.Espero que gostem!Vem mais a caminho...

I found this fashion advertisement from Fenway Fashions and it seems to me a 50's ad's ( the artist is not credited). When I found this ad's I saw a beautiful paper doll... so I decided to do a little "cut and glue" work!

 Here it is to share with you a beautiful model paper doll and five outfits with lots of lace (and a brief description for each outfit in the original).

However I have more surprises on the way!😉

 Eu encontrei esta publicidade da Fenway Fashions, parece-me ser do anos 50 e o artista não está creditado. Quando a vi decidi fazer um pouco de "corta e cola" pois pareceu-me que dava uma lindíssima paper doll. Assim aqui partilho convosco uma belíssima modelo paper doll e cinco outfits (com uma breve descrição no original). Entretanto tenho mais surpresas a caminho! ;)

Happy Birthday to you ... Happy Birthday to my blog! : )

I created this blog to promote the art of paper dolls and also my own creations, (although it is difficult to keep updated with new content because of the little time that I can dedicate to it). So  I am happy because my blog Out of the closet: the paper dolls project made one year of existence!

 To celebrate this first anniversary with you, I have coloured this paper doll called Butterfly Fairy to offer you. It is based on one I found in the magazine Diabrete (The artist is not credited). She has three dresses and a garland.

Eu criei este blogue para divulgar a arte das paper dolls e também as minhas próprias criações, apesar de ser difícil ir mantendo atualizado com novos conteúdos por causa do pouco tempo que lhe posso dedicar), eu estou feliz porque o meu blog Out of the closet: a paper dolls project fez um ano de existência!

 Então para celebrar este primeiro aniversário convosco eu colori para vos oferecer esta paper doll que se chama Fada Mariposa. É baseada numa  que eu encontrei na revista Diabrete (O artista não está creditado).

I've been on vacation in Nepal on last December and now that I'm back, I have new things to share with you.

Last year was a year with many changes in my personal and professional life. So this is the reason for my absence, the lack of time since the challenge of the Inktober paper doll.

That's why I come here to leave my Happy holidays card that I drew during the holidays, but I did not have the opportunity to upload it.

Eu espero que tenham tido umas Boas Festas!

Eu estive um mês de férias no Nepal e agora que regressei tenho novas partilhas para fazer convosco.

Este ano que passou foi um ano com muita mudança a nível pessoal e profissional. Por isso a minha ausência por falta de tempo desde o desafio do Inktober paper doll.

Por isso venho deixar-vos aqui o meu postal de Boas Festas (atrasado) que desenhei durante as férias mas que não tive oportunidade de fazer o upload.

Desejo-vos um muito bom ano novo e muito paper-dolling!

Inktober paper dolls 31st day: free theme

  Miss Missy paper dolls is a blog that I have long been a fan of paper dolls and has launched Miss Missy Inktober paper dolls 2018 in which I participated with great pleasure.

 It was a little complicated in terms of time because it coincided with a time of many changes in my personal and professional life that involved even changing locality, adapting to new routines and carrying out an illustration project for a book. So I took advantage of my lunch hour to go on doing the daily challenges. Although I have finished the challenge late, I must say that it was very good for me because it helped me to design more quickly and autonomously and managed to produce a considerable number of paper dolls that I had not drawn for a long time.

 I used as base a paper doll that I had already drawn some time ago which I called Andromeda. She was a robot who would travel through the various epochs of fashion history for which she would draw an out fit corresponding to each period. So I ended up following the thematic proposals of the challenge. Some of the out fits need fixes and I'm thinking of scanning them and putting them all together. But this will look like a New Year's resolution. This and other projects I have had inside the drawer for some time.

 For today I finish with the proposal of the last day that was free theme. I choose gender blender as theme with a little touch of The Roaring Twenties.

 A Miss Missy paper dolls é um blogue que eu já sigo há muito tempo como fã de paper dolls e que lançou o desafio Miss Missy Inktober paper dolls 2018 em que eu participei com muito gosto. 

 Foi um pouco complicado em questões de tempo porque coincidiu com uma altura de muitas mudanças na minha vida pessoal e profissional que implicou inclusive mudar de localidade, adaptar-me a novas rotinas e com a realização de um projecto de ilustração para um livro. Assim aproveitei a minha hora de almoço para ir fazendo os desafios diários. Apesar de ter terminado o desafio atrasado, eu devo dizer que foi muito bom para mim porque me ajudou a desenhar com mais rapidez e autonomia e conseguir produzir um número considerável de paper dolls que eu já há muito tempo  não desenhava.

 Eu utilizei como base uma paper doll  que já tinha desenhado há algum tempo a qual chamei Andrómeda. Ela era um robot que iria viajar ao longo das várias épocas da história da moda para a qual iria desenhar um out fit correspondente a cada período. Assim acabei por seguir as propostas temáticas do desafio. Alguns dos out fits precisam de correcções e estou a pensar digitalizá-los e coloca-los todos juntos. Mas isso ficará como uma resolução de ano novo. Isto e outros projectos que tenho dentro da gaveta há algum tempo.

 Para hoje finalizo com a proposta do último dia que era tema livre!

Inktober paper dolls 29th and 30rd day: zoombie and vampire

 I'm almost finnishing my participation on  Miss Missy's challenge Inktober paper doll 2018 by chance very late but I did not want to stop completing it . The theme for the 29th was Zombie and for the day 30th was Vampire.

 On the last day of the challenge, the theme was free ... so I'll post later!

Estou prestes a terminar minha participação no desafio da Miss Missy Inktober paper doll 2018, por acaso já muito tarde, mas eu não quero deixar de terminá-lo. O tema para o dia 29 foi Zoombi e para o dia 30 era Vampiro. No último dia do desafio, o tema era livre ... vou postar depois!
