"There was a boy
A very strange enchanted boy
They say he wandered very far, very far
Over land and sea
A little shy and sad of eye
But very wise was he..."
Nature boy by Nat King Cole
I didn't grow up listening to David Bowie (b.8 January 1947 – d.10 January 2016)... I only heard a few songs on the radio. I am therefore not a connoisseur of Bowie's music.
But I
admired a lot to see how this man changed his look in a chameleon way,
changed his persona and how he became an icon admired and followed by
millions. A megastar!
After seeing the film Velvet Goldmine by Todd Haynes, which was inspired by Bowie's universe, my curiosity for him increased. It was during the research I was doing to find his looks that I saw that not even the world of paper dolls was indifferent to him. There are loads of Bowie-inspired paper dolls.
I share here some that I found.
