Poupées en papier pour s'habiller!

Last year I went to the Comics Festival in Angoulême (France), as I said in my last post. There, I found the fabulous stand of Fourbi Éditions entirely devoted to publications with activities on paper. Paper dolls were one of the subjects of these publications. There I met Hannah Lafargue from whom I bought some paper dolls (with a dédicace). There are different paper dolls (i show you here two) with the same shape of the body, that allows you to change the costumes between them. There are different looks and costumes for different girls!

No ano passado eu fui ao Festival de Banda Desenhada em Angoulême (França), como eu disse no meu último post. Lá, encontrei o fabuloso stand da Fourbi Éditions inteiramente dedicada a publicações com atividades em papel. Paper dolls foram um dos temas dessas publicações.
Lá conheci Hannah Lafargue de quem eu comprei alguns bonecos de papel (com um dédicace). Existem diferentes paper dolls (com a mesma forma de corpo) que permitem que você mude os outfits entre eles. The psychopath kit

Last year I went to the Comics Festival in Angoulême (France) where I found the fabulous stand of Fourbi Éditions entirely devoted to publications with activities on paper. Paper dolls were one of the subjects in these publications. I bought a few in particular the Super Fourbi Géant # 4 (spécial adultes), in a good quality edition, which has magnificent paper dolls in a more underground theme. I share here with you this Psychopathe en Kit by Ségolène Giroire (nan-gry@hotmail.fr). There is a paper doll with lots of outfits and accessories. There is a paper doll with many clothes and accessories. There is a paper doll with many clothes and accessories. If you notice in one hand has a special cut line and in the other you can fold it both to hold the accessories.

Paper dolls eram um dos temas dessas publicações. Eu comprei alguns em particular o Super Fourbi Géant # 4 (especial para adultos) numa edição de boa qualidade que tem paper dolls magníficos numa temática mais underground. Eu partilho aqui este Psychopathe en Kit de Ségolène Giroire (nan-gry@hotmail.fr). Tem um paper doll com muitas roupas e acessórios. Se você notar numa mão tem uma linha de corte especial e na outra pode-se dobrar, ambos para segurar os acessórios.

I drew these paper dolls in the late eighties, I should be 13 or 14 years old. Both resisted the passage of time. These were drawn with coloured pencils. Both inspired by Brazilian actors from a brasilian soap opera called Roque Santeiro, which was shown on Portuguese television more than thirty years ago. In her case, I changed her face to a Marilyn lookalike. The clothes are not original and were made later for the two.

Like these, I drew many paper dolls, many of them based on the actors in this novel and others. I kept them in my collection because I have a special affection for them.

I prepared a short presentation to share with you. Hope you like!

Eu desenhei estas bonecas de papel no final dos anos oitenta. Eu deveria ter 13 ou 14 anos de idade. Ambos resistiram à passagem do tempo. Estas foram desenhados com lápis de côr . Ambos inspirados em atores brasileiros de uma novela brasileira chamada Roque Santeiro exibida na televisão portuguesa há mais de trinta anos. No caso dela, mais tarde mudei o rosto para um look parecido com a  Marilyn.  As roupas não são originais e foram feitas depois para os dois. Como estes, eu desenhei muitas bonecas de papel, muitas delas baseadas nos atores dessa novela. Estas mantive-as na minha coleção porque tenho um carinho especial por elas. Eu preparei uma pequena apresentação para compartilhar com você. Espero que gostem!

Trick or threat?

This paper doll is one of the favourites in my collection for several reasons. 

Despite being one of the oldest I have, one of the main reasons is for having been designed and published in a Portuguese magazine for an adult audience. It is the magazine Ego nº 1 published in June of 1997 and, we can say exclusively made for men.

Another reason is because it was designed by Nuno Saraiva, whose work I admire, one of the most talented and prolific plastic artists of my country.

There is one paper doll with stand up instructions and with  more than six outfits, which refer to a range of settings, fetishes and fantasies (note the white fluttering dress reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch), whose eroticization claimed by the title The Calamity: The tricks of a "succ(sex)ssful" (it's a pun with the word successful) young lady was lightened or justified by the intelligent humour of the comic pages that preceded this paper doll and which unfortunately I did not keep. : (  
So come play with her but don't be naughty!

Esta  paper doll é uma das preferidas da minha colecção por várias razões.  Apesar de ser uma das mais antigas que tenho, uma das principais razões é por ter sido desenhada e publicada numa revista para um público adulto. Trata-se da revista Ego nº 1 editada em Junho de 1997 e, podemos dizer exclusivamente feita para  homens.

Outra das razões é porque foi desenhada pelo Nuno Saraiva, cujo trabalho muito admiro, um dos mais talentosos e prolíficos artistas plásticos do meu país. 

São mais de seis out fits, que remetem para uma série de ambientes, fetiches e fantasias ( repare-se no vestido branco esvoaçante a lembrar Marilyn Monroe em "The seven year yitch"), cuja a erotização afirmada pelo título "A Calamidade: as tropelias de uma jovem de susexo" era aligeirada ou justificada pelo humor inteligente das páginas de banda desenhada que precediam esta paper doll e que infelizmente não guardei.

"Fairly" a paper doll mannequin

I share again a fashion advertisement inspired by paper dolls.

I already have for some years ago in my collection. I cannot remember if it's from the late 90's or early 2000's ... but I remember it was distributed with a fashion magazine.

It was through this small catalogue that the pret-à-porter fashion brand Fairly presented some basics of its collection .

It is  a photographic registry of a paper doll in the form of a mannequin and about ten outfits and accessories that integrate the novelty of the collection and a possible combination of them in the way of dressing.

Partilho novamente um anúncio de moda inspirado numa paper doll. Eu já a tenho há alguns anos na minha colecção. Não me lembro se é do final dos anos 90 ou início de 2000 ... lembro-me que foi distribuído com uma revista de moda. Foi através deste pequeno catálogo que a marca de moda pret-à-porter Fairly apresentou alguns básicos de sua colecção. É um registo fotográfico de uma paper doll na forma de um manequim e cerca de dez outfits e acessórios que integravam a novidade da colecção e uma possível combinação deles na maneira de se vestir.
